What makes up an RC?

Cars & Trucks

Tires & wheels

The most important thing to note here is that except on the cheapest of toy RCs, tires are separate from wheels. Tires are made from plastic, rubber, or high-traction foam. Plastic is the least effective material and is only found on toy RCs. Rubber is the most versatile, but instead of being filled with pressurized air like on real cars, they are either hollow and completely pliable, or stuffed with fitted foam inserts that give them a level of stiffness and make them bounce back when compressed. On hobby-level RCs, tires are glued to wheels with cyanoacrylate (CA) glue, the same stuff that's sold in tubes as Super Glue, to keep them secure against the forces of acceleration, braking, and turning.
