Slipper clutch

A slipper clutch can come on nitro and electric RC's alike and is generally integrated with the spur gear (see photo). A slipper clutch absorbs some of the worst jolts the vehicle is subjected to when landing jumps, in addition to allowing some intentional bleeding of power (drivetrain slippage) when driving on slippery surfaces to prevent excessive wheelspin (burning out).
