Yep! The Altair Aerial U818Plus drone has a pretty impressive camera, actually. If that’s all you care about, then feel free to scroll straight down and check out the specs. They’ll be thoroughly covered in my review.

The Altair 818 Hornet has multiple flight modes for different skill levels, yes. This makes it a fantastic beginner drone for users to learn how to fly and excel up the skill ladder!
How many drones does Altair Aerial have?

The Altair 818 Hornet Drone Review
Right off the bat, I’d like to mention that the Altair 818 Hornet has an abundance of awesome features that everyone knows and loves! Headless Mode, Altitude Hold, 1-Button Takeoff, 1-Button Landing, and Custom Route Mode.
Although, unless you use your smartphone or another smart device instead of the physical transmitter, you won’t have access to Custom Route Mode. With that said, if you plan on using it, make sure your phone’s charged!
The Altair 818 Hornet also has a couple of safety features, as well. It uses a Low Battery Alarm, an Out of Range Alarm, and even has an Emergency Landing Function, which makes it an awesome choice for beginners.
You can expect to get up to 15 minutes of flight time on a single charge, which, as both you and I know, is some good news. It also comes with a second battery included for free, too!
The camera is pretty impressive, in my opinion. It’s a rubber-damping camera with 720p HD resolution and real-time video transmission in FPV! The 120-degree, wide-angle camera ensures that photos and videos are taken beautifully, especially because it’s a rubber-damping model.
Lastly, but certainly not least, you get 3 different flight skill levels. The first level is great for both kids and beginners, the second is somewhat of a medium flight skill level for those with some experience, and the third flight skill level is for those advanced in flying a drone.
The biggest pro that the Altair 818 Hornet drone has to offer, in my opinion, is the actual company it comes from. Altair Aerial is a small company based out of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Users have reported that their customer service is second to none, probably because they handle their own questions and customer inquiries themselves. Goodbye, call centers!
The only con that I’ve found so far is that the information on the drone thus far is to be sought after. This is totally fine, of course. Considering the Altair 818 Hornet is just coming out of the gates, this is to be expected, so stay tuned.
The Altair 818 Hornet Drone
Altair Aerial is one of my favorite companies, hands down. The Altair 818 Hornet is their latest and greatest creation, and I hope you’re just as excited as I am to see what they come out with in the, hopefully, near future.
